tumblr, pownce …
soon there will be millions of these things around. got to try pownce for a bit, quite an hyped product but to me it doesnt really live up to the promise. it has a nice syndication feature, but i am a bit disappointed by the AIR(tm) based desktop tool.
Major gripes for me:
- posting messages results in walls of texts as it ignores linebreaks
- if you delete posts/links/files in it they stay in the tools list (think only restarting it solves it)
- you cant really reply to posts
- the advertisments aren’t really nice
- you can not customize simple stuff in the theme and the design is not that appealing.
